Waiting Again

Sunday, May 29th

Today we had a quiet day. I think our busy days have caught up with us and the kids asked if we could stay home all day and not go anywhere. So we did! They stayed in pajamas a little longer and made forts and lounging areas. You know it is always more fun to lounge in new and exciting locations. They had a good time. After lunch they watched a movie and Mama and Papa had some quality time together and a nice nap. We do not always sleep well at night with lots of dreams.

We were invited by our friends Ron and Sharon and Oolia to come down to their apartment and blow bubbles. Sasha made his own bubbles tube and impressed us with his large bubble making talents. You just discover new talents everyday! It was good to have a nice talk in English. They will be leaving soon to go back to Canada for their waiting period. We are choosing to stay for the waiting period. We had a discussion with Marina during dinner where she laid out the plan as to how long the remainder of our process could take. We are hoping to get a court date ASAP! Until then we are on hold. The waiting period is 15 days after court. The after waiting period finalization is longer than we were told originally. We were told about 5 days and Marina is saying it is about 7-10 days. God Help Us….The information we have is not very encouraging but we choose to stay up and believe God has a plan and only good is coming our way.

WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU OUT THERE AND WHAT IS GOING ON AT HOME. WE MISS EVERYONE AND FEEL WE ARE LOSING TOUCH WITH WHAT IS GOING ON.

May God Bless You Indeed……

Love the picture of Stella in her new outfit! She looks so pretty! I certainly hope they can speed things up a bit so you guys can get home soon! I'm sure though, when you look back on this time in a few years, it will seem short...as if it went by in a blur.

Hmm...news from GA...it has been very hot here the last few days and the rain keeps skipping by Rome. We are praying we get at least a stray thundershower or something soon, but it doesn't look promising according to weather.com.

Our ride yesterday was not great. We took a small trail we'd never taken before over at Berry and there were a lot of river crossings. Buster was doing great until we came to a small pipe crossing the path. He flat out refused to cross it and there was no way around. We turned back and had planned on meeting the rest of our group at the reservoir. But on the way back to the main trail, Bolshoi pulled a front shoe off on a rock. So, end of story...we just headed back very disappointed.

This Friday we are going with a group of friends down to Hi Fi Buys in Atlanta on a bus to see Jimmy Buffet. Should be fun!

    Talk soon!

    Love Scott and Dana

Greetings to Russia from Disney World! It's Memorial Day here in Orlando, and tomorrow is our first foray into the parks (Animal Kingdom, then perhaps Epcot to go to "China" in the afternoon.) We are all here ... Chip, Veda, Leah, Amy, Chaz, Nicholas (Leah's cousin), Veda's parents and my parents. We're having a ball. Had a hamburger/hot dog cookout today for Memorial Day. This after a day at the clubhouse pool (waterslide, spouts, jumping waters, etc.) and then a day poolside in our very own backyard, which was wonderful.

Hot here as well, but a breeze came up in the afternoon and kept it from being stifling. Wendy (Field) Beegle came by today to spend the afternoon with us, and that was really great. She brought her two boys with her. Freddy (6) and Jacob (2). They are so very cute, and we really did enjoy their company. They are doing fine and headed back home after dinner.

It sounds like you are having a great bonding time. We are enjoying reading the blog, even from Orlando! We'll continue to keep you in our prayers.

Well, it's almost 9 p.m. and Amy and Chaz are crooning each other in song in their bedroom, so we better go put them out of their miseries. (Veda said they are not miserable at all, and I agree.)

Love to the entire Boyd family!
Chip, Veda, Leah, Amy, Chaz, Nicholas, Truitt, Velma, George and Helen!

Hey guys! Hope yall are doing well! Love the updates! We are praying for your court date and all that will follow that! Remember that God is bigger than all this "red tape", and He is in control! He has brought you this far and He will bring you through and bring you all back to USA VERY SOON! We can't wait to see you all!

School is finally out and we are glad for summer! David has his surgery on his knee in the morning so we are looking forward to having that behind us so he can begin to recooperate!

Last week, Caleb's baseball team won the 7 year old championship at Oregon Park so that was alot of fun! Obviously, he was very excited and proud - as were his parents!

We are praying for yall and love yall! We can't wait to see you soon!

    Love, David and Connie

Hey guys, we're hoping ya'll make it home soon, we can't wait to meet the kids!

It's definately getting hot here, I about died Monday taking Madison for a bike ride in the 85 degree weather, it didn't help that I put her bike seat on my high-geared road bike and forgot how big the hills were around here!

Sascha got to stay a few days at Camp Birdsong, Bill and Angela were so kind to keep her while we went to the beach. She had so much fun and got along very well with Abby and Buck!

That's all that's new here. We love you.

    Andy, Susan, Madison and Reagan
