The Star of the Show...Ready for Action

Wednesday, May 31

Today we have a mission, to find Sasha a pair of black pants to match Garrett’s for court. We met Nastya at the bus stop and headed “go magazine”, shopping in Russian. We decided we would look at the Green Bazaaaaarrrrrrrr since we were having trouble finding a pair of black dress pants for him to wear. Nastya advised we should look at a few other shops before venturing into the Bazaaaarrrrrr. We looked and looked in other “Zoom” type shopping buildings, those 3 level little mall type stores. It amazing how many stores there are but no black pants. Apparently this is not the season for such right now. Near the end of our looking before venturing to the GB, we finally found gold, I mean black, as in pants. They were perfect.

We also found Stella, I mean Stella found Stella, a baby doll she wanted and Sasha wanted a military base that came with a few race cars included, kinda weird, but we are in the land of Kaz. We did all this and still made it back just in time for lunch, via taxi. When you are in a hurry and it is hot, a taxi is the way to go. When you have 45 minutes to travel, you can go by bus. After lunch the kids were supposed to have English lessons with Alona sometime between 3 and 4 but she got busy with another commitment and could not make it today. So we will schedule another lesson soon.

Sasha wanted to have a dress rehearsal before court so he tried on his entire “costume”, what Russians call a matching outfit. He looked very handsome and proud of his look. He really likes having a complete ensemble from head to toe. He wanted a picture which we have included for your viewing pleasure. He is one handsome dude if I do say so myself.

We are on for court for tomorrow at 10:00. We do not have a lot of details so we will probably be flying by the seat of our pants which we are getting accustomed to these days. We are one flexible family! Well at least we think we are… We will be getting up early around 6:45 and heading out at about a quarter to 9. It takes 40 minutes to get to Timertau and we do not know how long court will take but we do know it will not be in English. Marina will be our translator which is good for us!

So as best as we know it we are prepared. We have pictures of us having fun with the kids. We have done our best to bond and be a happy family. We all look very handsome and beautiful in our court duds. We will shower and smell good as best we can in this non air conditioned world and we have every document we can think of. I think we are set. Until tomorrow God bless you all. In all things we give thanks to you Lord God.
