A Few Puddles Can't Stop Superboy!

Well what can we say about today? Our friend Nastya is finishing up her double degree in German and English and is doing a new class in English where she has to find 100 idioms in a literary work and translate them. It is more challenging that this is a new class so she needed a little assistance. We were happy to help but we had to go online to figure exactly what an idiom is, we were having trouble retrieving it in our long term memory. She brought over the literary works she had found, both Ernest Hemingway short stories, this morning and Garrett and I went to work. In no time we had a reasonable amount of idioms. She is limited is the literary works she can use because it has to be available in Russian too.
It was good to exercise the brain a little although I have been challenged a bit with the new Saduko games. We brought several books over but had not even tried to figure it out when Ron was talking to us about his quest for some of the puzzles. We of course had plenty to share so we gave him one of our books with the condition that he had to explain to us how it works. In no time I was hooked but have kept myself in the kids saduko until I have it figured out. It is very challenging. Sasha enjoys them as well.
After lunch we all went with Ron & Sharon and Oolia to the Azia ice cream factory store that is a short walk from our apartment. It was a nice walk in the cool breezy Kaz weather we have had for the last few days. The weather varies from being really hot one day to cool and breezy the next. We all had an ice cream that is really inexpensive. The factory has a little tiny walk up ice cream window you can get pre-made ice cream cones, on a stick, etc. The four of us each had one and the total bill was 70 Tenge, about 55 cents. The best deal in town. It was bitter sweet for us since Ron and Sharon will be leaving soon. It started to rain on us as we headed for home so we ducked in the grocery to pick up a few things since we gave Rada and Andrey most of our food, which isn’t saying much. It was still raining as we headed for home but not real hard and we ducked under trees most of the way. While we were out we bought some paint supplies and the kids had a good time being artists most of the afternoon.
We got an update from Marina as to what will be happening tomorrow. Galina, Marina’s secretary, Garrett and Sasha will be leaving around 8am to ride to Timertau to pick up the Social Worker and head over to the jail to get the signature of the biological father signing his rights away. Sasha has to go as back up just in case the father requires seeing him first. He will sit in the car with Garrett and we are praying he will not need to see him. We are glad Garrett will be along for the ride and so was Sasha. We appreciate the prayer covering for them tomorrow.
We had a quiet evening of baths, Mr. Bean and roasted seeds. It will be an early morning. I guess Mom and Stella will have a girl’s day tomorrow as the boys will be gone several hours. We are expecting only good things and favor tomorrow and Tuesday morning at court when we get all dressed up in our court clothes once again. This is for real folks. No dress rehearsals this time!

We will be praying late tonight as we go to bed and you will be starting your day! We pray for favor in all circumstances and we pray specifically for Sasha as he "deals" (hopefully not in person) with a biological father who didn't want him! Thank God Garrett, his father who loves him and wants him unconditionally, will be right beside him in the car!!!! We are praying fervertly for court on Tuesday morning!
We love yall!

We are praying for you. We know full well G-d has you two in these kids plan, long term. This is one last hurtle. We love you and can't wait to get you all back on US soil, although Kaz sounds wonderful through your poetic eyes. I feel as though I can taste the ice cream, and see the magazine!
Love, Robin, Alex and kids

We will be praying for you too! And for Sasha that he doesn't have to go in to meet his dad. I'm so glad Garrett will be there with him to support him. I can't imagine having to meet this man under such horrible circumstances.
Love Scott and Dana
